Manchester United vs Leicester City
2018/19 English Premier League
Date: Saturday, 11th August 2018
Kick-off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET
Venue: Old Trafford (Manchester).
The 2018/19 English Premier League kicks off on Friday as Manchester United hosts Leicester City at Old Trafford.
The two sides will be hopeful of starting the season with a good result after their pre-season outings. The Red Devils won 2 out of their ICC games but lost woefully to Premier League rivals Liverpool.
In all fairness, Jose Mourinho’s side didn’t have a successful pre-season tour as they managed just 1 win in 90 minutes. They drew their first 3 games, before losing to Liverpool.
United’s only win was against Real Madrid, but they lost their final game against Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena.
On the other hand, the Foxes pre-season didn’t produce superb results either. They drew 2 out of the 5 games played during the off season, grabbed a win against Notts County and Lille but lost to Udinese.
Manchester United vs Leicester City: Head to Head
The Red Devils are unbeaten again Leicester City since 2015, having won 5 of the 8 games played and drawn 3.
United last lost a game to Leicester City in September 2014, but prior to that defeat, they were on a streak on 10 wins against the Foxes.
United have scored at least once in each of their last 20 games against Leicester City and have scored at least twice in their last 5.
Manchester United vs Leicester City: Prediction
This is the Kickoff for the new season and both fans have high expectations for their teams. The Red Devils won the head to head Comparison and as such seen as the favorites for this clash.
The pre-season tour can’t be used as an actual test so United’s lack of goals during offseason won’t be considered here.
We are expecting a win from the Red Devils but we anticipate a low scoring affair. Source
