Chelsea vs Manchester United
English Premier League
Date: Saturday, 20 October 2018
Kick-off at 12:30 UK/ 13:30 CET
Venue: Stamford Bridge (London).
Chelsea will be welcoming the red devils to the Stamford Bridge for the first game of the weekend on Saturday, early afternoon. There will be a huge buzz as these two league giants clash in yet another matchup this year.
Sarri’s men are more than determined to get to the top of the league standings and keep alive their dreams of winning the league title this season. Notably, the team will be fresh and stronger as they head to this home game after the international break.
Chelsea will be without Antonio Rudiger who is the only injury. He withdrew from the Germany squad during the international break due to a groin injury.
Manchester United was having a series of internal woes, which we should hopefully have been worked on during the international break. However, the whole world is eager to see if they will redeem themselves in this game. They are in the 8th position of the league standings after 8 played games, a position and performance which does not really impress their fans.
Meanwhile, Jesse Lingard who has not played since the EFL Cup defeat to Derby will be fit for this crucial away matchup after recuperating during the international break. Ander Herrera, who has been another recent injury absentee, has returned to training during the international break.
Chelsea has been particularly impressive defensively this season having kept five clean sheets in their last eight games. With Mourinho’s side not looking at their best at the moment, we can see the hosts grinding out a win and maybe keep yet another clean sheet.
On the other side, the Red Devils will want to show that their hypothetical house is now in order after taking a break to consolidate themselves during the international break.
