Red Star Belgrade vs Liverpool
UEFA Champions League
Date: Tuesday, 6 November 2018
Kick-Off at 17:55 UK / 18:55 CET
Venue: Stadion Rajko Mitic (Belgrade).
Liverpool confirmed the gulf in quality between them and the Serbian champions two weeks ago when they bagged as many as four goals past Red Star Belgrade. Roberto Firmino was the man who broke the deadlock 20 minutes into the game at Anfield. Mohamed Salah added a brace later on, while Sadio Mane set the final score adding his name to the scoresheet as well.
The Reds are thus in control after three rounds in Group C. They collected six points from three games and have a nice chance to stay at the very top of the group ladder with another victory over underdogs here.
Jurgen Klopp’s men would be in a very good position with a three-pointer given they have a home clash with Napoli in the last round, meaning the destiny is entirely in their hands, especially after PSG and Napoli drew in the other fixture of the group two weeks ago.
Red Star conceded as many as ten goals in last two Champions League fixtures against PSG and Liverpool. They entered the group as heavy underdogs and such scenario was expected. They did hold the likes of Napoli 0-0 in their lone home match in the group so far, but we have to mention Vladan Milojevic’s men had a lot of luck to avoid disaster there as well.
Liverpool will be motivated enough to push strong from the very get go here and we expect them to make the difference as soon as possible. This is why Liverpool to win the first half by two or more goals difference looks quite attractive at the odds of 3.10.
