Watford vs Liverpool
England – Premier League
Date: Saturday, 24 November 2018
Kick-Off at 15:00 UK/ 16:00 CET
Venue: Vicarage Road (Watford).
Liverpool will travel to Watford after the break, for round 13 of the English Premier League. The Reds have been prolific this season and will be aiming for another win on Saturday.
The Hornets have surprised many of their own fans with their performance at the start of the season. They are currently 7th in the league with 6 wins and 4 defeats from 12 matches. A pretty good start for a team that finished 14th last season. But with not even half of the season complete, the yellow army needs to capitalize on this platform they got.
The team managed by Javi Garcia have been mediocre at home. In the 6 matches played in front of their home crowd, his team has won 4 and lost 2 also. Over 2.5 goals were scored in 5 of those matches. But at the moment they are winless in 2 games in the league.
Another problem they face is lack of clean sheets. They have only 3 clean sheets in the league till now. With a strong attacking side like Liverpool visiting that stat is not likely to improve.
The Reds are 2nd in the table and just 2 points behind the leaders, City. Liverpool is one of the three teams that are yet to be defeated in the league. In their 12 league matches, they have 9 wins and 3 draws. However, the number of goals they scored is not up to what they had scored last season, mostly because Salah has not found his form yet.
Jürgen Klopp’s team have one of the best defenses in the league with just 5 goals conceded. Only one other club has conceded the same number of goals, which is Manchester City.
Liverpool had a surprising defeat to Red Star Belgrade in their last UCL fixture and they followed that with a 2-0 win over Fulham in the league. In 6 away matches they played, the Reds have 6 wins and 2 draws. But they have conceded in 4 of the last 6 away matches in the league, which may pose a problem.
