Barcelona vs Tottenham Hotspur
UEFA – Champions League
Date: Tuesday, 11 December 2018
Kick-Off at 20:00 UK
Venue: Camp Nou (Barcelona)
Tottenham travel to Barcelona for their last-ditch effort to make it to the knock-out stages after making the top 2 cut in Group B with a 1-0 win over Inter, now looking to capitalize on it and hold off the Italian rivals with all-important points at Camp Nou.
Spurs have retained consistency recently and they come into their weekend clash against Leicester on the back of a 3-1 win over Southampton, which was their return to a six-game winning streak seen ahead of their thriller 4-2 loss to Arsenal. They now hope to show off once again and what better place to do so than Spain.
Barcelona will be very tough rivals to beat despite already having secured the top spot, now coming off a city derby against Espanyol as they hope to build on a three-game winning streak of their own – where they beat PSV in Champions League, Villarreal in La Liga, and Cultural Leonesa in Copa del Rey. This will be a tougher task but Ernesto Valverde will surely have his men very motivated!
We will now back Barcelona to win once again and turn an exciting game their way, sticking with a Home win at a good-looking 2.12. They’ve been very great in the final third here and it’s really tough seeing Spurs outgun them at this point.
Nonetheless, we do see the visitors putting on a great challenge and a show, as we also back Over 2.5 goals FT at 1.50 – which looks like buying money for old rope. We have seen three or more goals in three of both sides’ respective last five outings and this does seem like further evidence for such a bet
