Tottenham vs Manchester United
English Premier League
Date: Sunday, 13 January 2019
Kick-Off at 16:30 UK / 17:30 CET
Venue: Wembley (London).
Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester United in a big Sunday showdown at Wembley. It will be the maiden serious test for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer whose impressive thread of five straight wins is questioned due to the strength of opponents in the process.
We also know that the Red Devils are after Mauricio Pochettino hoping he could be the next permanent manager, meaning the caretaker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be even more motivated to snatch the spoils from London.
We do expect a high-profile clash between two free-scoring rivals here. Spurs won seven of past eight games in all competitions netting five or more goals on three occasions along the way.
Their mixed line-up notched seven past Tranmere Rovers last weekend in the FA Cup, while Harry Kane made the difference against Chelsea in the first leg of League Cup semi-final on Tuesday evening.
Solskjaer will be forced to use Lindelof and Jones as center backs given Bailly is suspended and Rojo injured ahead of the clash with Spurs.
Since United’s defensive line has been pretty vulnerable throughout the entire season anyways, we do feel Kane, Son & company should have plenty of room to create in the final third on Sunday.
On the other hand, the Red Devils found two or more goals in each of five games under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer which is why we would be very surprised to see them fail to find the net past attacking-minded Spurs here.
