Manchester City vs Arsenal
English Premier League
Date: Sunday, 3 February 2019
Kick-off at 16:30 UK/ 17:30 CET
Venue: Etihad Stadium (Manchester).
We have a real Super Football Sunday by all means this weekend and no other game trumps the battle between Manchester City and Arsenal at the Etihad.

Manchester City’s title hopes dealt a blow when they were beaten by Newcastle United 1-2 this Tuesday. The gap with Liverpool could have been wider, but thanks to a Harry Maguire goal helped Leicester to snatch a 1-1 draw at the Anfield.

Guardiola’s men still trail Jurgen Klopp’s team by 5 points and there emerged another heated race with Tottenham barging in from behind at a 3 point gap. The current scenario makes this clash extremely important for the team in sky blue and they cannot afford to drop points this Sunday.

Meantime, Arsenal had to sweat hard to beat Cardiff at their home turf this midweek. The three points helped them move up to fourth in the table; thanks to Bournemouth’s thumping 4-0 win against Chelsea.

However, the race for fourth spot is still tight, as both Blues and Manchester United sit at a 2 point gap.

*The Citizens won their last four h2h games against Arsenal in all competitions, the last three of those coming at the Emirates.
*The Gunners are still searching for their first Premier League win against the Citizens since 2015; drew 2 and lost 4 since.
*At home, City are unbeaten in the last h2h games; 2 win and 1 draw.
*Five of their last 6 duels at the Etihad saw both teams scoring.

The Citizens are on blazing form at home and their last 5 games at the Etihad saw them scoring as many as 26 goals. Some of those opponents might not be in the elite class, but Arsenal have plenty to worry looking at their own away form this season.

Emery’s men are in the hunt for a top four finish solely on the back of their home results. Their overall away record this season is underwhelming. At the same time, they managed to score goals consistently on the road, but clean sheets have been rare.
